OVERVIEW

The Woman is one of two significators in the Lenormand deck and she represents a real person, usually someone of significance in our life or the life of the querent. It’s a neutral card and draws all of its characteristics from nearby cards.

IN THE PORTRAIT & GRAND TABLEAU

There’s no specific advice associated with the Woman, but when it figures on the first or central card placement of the nine-card layout, it asks us to focus on a specific person in our life, likely someone important to us. Her qualities are identified by nearby cards.

In the Tableau, the Woman card represents the querant if she’s female, and is called the significator. The Man in this case usually represents her partner but can mean someone else depending on nearby cards. The location of the significator in the Tableau is critical and drives much of its dynamics, as detailed in Lenormand Reader’s Handbook Of Layouts.

ADVICE

There is no specific advice associated with the Woman. Nearby cards should be consulted instead as the Woman (and Man) is a neutral card and derives its meaning from nearby cards.
